As a native San Diegan, Scott grew up fishing the local beaches, bays, lakes and creeks in the San Diego region. Childhood vacations to Yellowstone National Park introduced him to fly fishing and that experience grew with frequent trips to local creeks and the Eastern Sierras during college. After college he combined his love of fly fishing with his passion for the ocean and has never looked back. With the year round fishing in San Diego, Scott spends many days fishing and guiding in the surf from Oceanside to the Mexican Border. Scott brings more than twenty years of fly fishing experience to Solis on the Salt, and more than ten years experience as a saltwater fly fisher and tier. Scott spends several weeks in Baja every year catching, photographing and writing about the fish in Baja’s Pacific surf and the Sea of Cortez. Scott is also a freelance writer and photographer with articles and images published in California Fly Fisher and Southwest Fly Fishing magazines.
